Internship duration: 6 months
Possibility of permanent role: This internship may lead to a full-time permanent position (open-ended contract) at the end, depending on performance and business needs

This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely comfortable with social media and understands digital culture and how content is created, distributed, and consumed today—what resonates culturally, captures attention and builds meaningful engagement, and how communities are built online.

The position combines content creation, community engagement, and strategic thinking, with the objective of increasing brand visibility and supporting our commercial activities and offers an excellent opportunity for someone eager to enter the art market and combine social media skills, commercial drive with a passion for contemporary art.

You will work closely with the sales and communications team and contribute actively to shaping how our publications and editions are presented online.

About JRP|Editions

Since 2004, JRP|Editions (formerly JRP|Ringier, 2004–2018) has established itself as one of the leading international independent publishers of contemporary art. We work in close collaboration with artists, galleries, museums, and institutions to produce a wide range of publications and limited-editions—such as lithographs, screenprints, sculptures, mirrors and series of unique works.
Our catalogue includes over 500 titles and an expanding selection of limited editions by renowned contemporary artists. We are an international team based between Zurich, Geneva, Paris, Los Angeles and New York, dedicated to sharing powerful artistic voices and high-quality artworks with a global audience.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

Develop and manage a weekly content calendar, producing and publishing original content across our platforms.
Use social media scheduling tools (e.g., Later or similar) to build weekly posting plans, schedule content, and maintain consistency across platforms.
Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Stories): basic filming & editing; adapting captions and trends; working from raw material.
Develop varied content formats: behind-the-scenes, artist features, editions highlights, releases, studio visits, fairs, archives, educational content.
Support the promotion of new releases, editions, artists, events, and fairs.
Ensure a consistent visual and editorial voice aligned with our brands and artists.

Community Growth & Engagement

Actively engage with the global art community: collectors, artists, galleries, curators, institutions, and art-interested audiences.
Monitor and respond to comments and messages timely, initiate conversations, and build long-term engagement.
Proactively identify and interact with potential new clients and collectors via social platforms.
Contribute to the growth of our audience and visibility through consistent, thoughtful interaction.

Strategy & Performance

Propose content strategies and ideas to grow reach, followers, and engagement.
Monitor trends, formats, and platform changes and adapt content accordingly.
Launch, optimize, and monitor paid social campaigns across digital platforms.
Track performance metrics and translate insights into concrete improvements.
Always keep a commercial sub-objective in mind: visibility → interest → sales.

AI & Tools

Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, image/video tools, automation or analytics tools) to speed up content production, test ideas, and optimize captions, formats, and workflows.
Proactively identify and propose tools or methods that may improve output and performance.

Requirements

Excellent, intuitive command of social media (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Facebook essential; familiarity with emerging platforms is a plus).
Basic skills in photo and video editing.
Strong visual sensibility and sense of storytelling, and interest in contemporary art, culture, and creative industries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently while collaborating closely with a small, fast-moving team.
Familiarity with AI tools and genuine curiosity to explore how they can enhance creative and commercial output
Creative, solution-driven approach to facing new tasks and situations.
