Sasso San Gottardo

The once top-secret, legendary Gotthard fortress features the unique Sasso San Gottardo Museum with its two sections:

"Exhibitions": Gotthard Myth, Crystal Cavern, Magical Chamber, Energy Cavern, light-show Gotthard water divide as well as the first and only permanent exhibition about Goethe in Switzerland and his three journeys that ended on the Gotthard pass.

If you decide for the grand tour, in addition to the exhibitions, you can take the "Metro del Sasso" to the "historic fortress". There, deep inside the mountain, you will find the barracks, bunker cannons and munition magazines that have been preserved true to the original. A side tunnel also leads to a viewing platform with a wonderful panorama of the Swiss Alps!
