The Zentralbibliothek Zürich is the city’s cantonal, municipal and university library. With over 6.6 million books and half a million visitors per year, it is one of the largest libraries in Switzerland.
The Zentralbibliothek is at the same time a museum, which brings to life Zürich’s history by means of regular exhibitions held in the treasure chamber of the Predigerchor, thus presenting the library’s priceless collections to the general public.
