Richard Wagner Museum

Richard Wagner Collection
Richard Wagner chose the county manor in Tribschen, situated on
Lake Lucerne with a magnificent view of the Alps, as his residence
and setting for his work for six years (1866-1872).
Numerous photographs, paintings and a valuable collection of letters
and musical scores testify to Richard Wagner’s life and work here.
A highlight of the collection is the Erard grand piano on which Wagner
completed his works in Tribschen, including The Mastersingers of
Nuremberg.
