Musée d'Yverdon et région (MY)
The Museum of Yverdon and its Region is housed in the thirteenth-century-built Savoyard castle of the town. Its permanent exhibition traces 6000 years of exceptionally uninterrupted history of the area from the first Neolithic settlements (around 4500 BC) till today. It is also a center of information on stilt settlements listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. The museum has also got a section about navigation in Antiquity thanks to two Gallo-Roman boats, an exhibition dedicated to the famous educationalist J. H. Pestalozzi and Egyptian antiquities.
