Maison d'Ailleurs

The Maison d'Ailleurs (House of Elsewhere) is a unique museum dedicated to science-fiction, utopia and extraordinary journeys. The permanent space "Memories of the Future" presents the science fiction collection of the twentieth century (books, magazines, movie posters, paintings, prints, drawings, photos, films, games, audio and video tapes, etc.. ) while temporary exhibitions focus on contemporary topics. The museum also hosts the “Espace Jules Verne” connected to the museum by a walkway. At the heart of this historic room is a library comprising Jean-Michel Margot’s collection of some 20,000 documents (articles, theses, biographies, literary studies) dedicated to Jules Verne. Its documentation centre with more than 120,000 publications is accessible to researchers, archivists and students.
