The Fricktaler Museum provides visitors with interesting facts about the history and art of the region. The diverse collection invites you to a journey through time with different collections of prehistory, the Middle Ages and modern times. The furnishings of the house, some of which are in their original condition from the 19th century, also offer a special ambience.

Look at the Rhine! - Aspects of life on the Upper Rhine

The exhibition tells stories from Rheinfelden, a town on Switzerland's longest river, the Rhine. It is about fishing, work and food, fashion in the spa town, the fashion label 'Rhein Design', urban development on a major traffic artery, life by the river (as a national border), the hydroelectric power station … The Rhine marks the lives of local residents, it threatens them with its floods but provides them with valuable leisure space.
