Fondation Opale

Fondation Opale’s mission is to both highlight the importance of the art centre in Lens, Valais (Crans-Montana) and make contemporary Aboriginal art accessible to everyone across Europe.
Through permanent and temporary exhibits, workshops, meet and greets and publications, the Fondation Opale wishes to establish a permanent dialogue between contemporary and Aboriginal art.

Current exhibitions


From June 14th, 2020 to April 4th, 2021, Fondation Opale presents RESONANCES, an exhibition of 50 contemporary Aboriginal and international artists. A five-chapter tour explores the fundamental theme of human's place in the universe through their works. Anish Kapoor, Romuald Hazoumè, Tomás Saraceno and Ugo Rondinone enter into dialogue with their counterparts from the other side of the world such as Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Sally Gabori, John Mawurndjul and Gulumbu Yunupingu.
