Botanischer Garten der Universität Bern
The Botanical Garden of the University of Bern (BOGA) is a diverse and colourful oasis in the centre of Bern city. With its enormous diversity of about 5500 different plant species from all over the world, it represents a garden of knowledge and learning, a kingdom of senses and a place to rest. It shows the fascinating diversity of plants and imparts their great importance for human wellbeing while raising awareness of their conservation.
Among the most important sections of the garden are the wonderful alpine garden, the palm, fern, and succulent plants greenhouses, enchanting orchids, Mediterranean and steppe vegetation and a medicinal plant garden. During the entire year, the BOGA provides a manifold event program including guided botanical tours and a leisure program for children. Cafè Fleuri provides culinary delights from April to October.
