The Alterthümer-Magazin houses treasures and curiosities from the storage of building components of the cantonal and municipal monument preservation offices in Zurich as well as a collection of wallpaper that is unique in Switzerland. The collection ranges from flowery toilet bowls to chandeliers and fire-heated washing machines to hand-painted wallpaper. The objects on display are particularly beautiful or rare pieces that can be shown to a wide audience.
