Key Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Zurich gallery and act as the main point of contact on site
• Drive sales and develop long-term relationships with collectors and prospective clients through proactive follow-up, tailored proposals and negotiation
• Expand the gallery’s collector base and professional network in Zurich and German- speaking Switzerland
• Present the gallery’s artists, exhibitions and programme confidently and engagingly to visitors, collectors and art professionals
• Coordinate exhibitions, installations and openings with artists, studios, suppliers and the wider gallery team
• Oversee sales administration and operational follow-up, including offers, invoices, contracts and transport
• Represent the gallery at art fairs, openings and professional events, contributing actively to its visibility and development
Candidate Profile
• Minimum five years’ professional experience in a commercial art gallery
• Proven experience in art sales and collector development
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken; French is an advantage
• Based in Zurich with a strong knowledge of the local art and cultural landscape
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and solution-driven
• Comfortable working independently, taking initiative and managing multiple priorities
• Strong knowledge of and genuine enthusiasm for contemporary art
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend events, as well as travel to art fairs
